Yates joins company from Colliers as Partners adds dynamic vertical to firm’s capital markets platform
Atlanta, GA – May 13, 2026 – Partners Real Estate—a private partnership-led, fully-integrated commercial real estate firm—today announced that Stewart Yates has joined the firm as Equity Partner, based in Atlanta, where he will lead a newly established Healthcare Investment Sales practice. The hire marks Partners’ entry into one of the most dynamic and supply-constrained sectors in commercial real estate and adds an institutionally connected vertical to the firm’s growing capital markets platform.
“Stewart is exactly the kind of professional we want at Partners—deeply experienced, well-connected, and a natural fit for our culture and the way we serve clients,” said John O’Neill, President and Managing Partner of Partners’ Southeast region. “Residential healthcare real estate is one of the most compelling growth sectors in the industry, and Stewart’s track record across both senior housing and behavioral health gives our clients a level of advisory capability that very few firms can offer. Bringing him in as an Equity Partner reflects both the caliber of his practice and our long-term commitment to building this business at Partners.”
Mr. Yates joins Partners following a distinguished career in healthcare real estate investment sales, most recently a principal with Colliers International’s Atlanta office, where he helped build a nationally recognized practice across senior housing and behavioral health transactions. He is one of a small number of investment sales professionals in the country with a closed-transaction track record spanning the full senior housing asset type spectrum—independent living, assisted living, memory care, and continuing care retirement communities—as well as the full behavioral health facility continuum, including residential, inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Yates has developed direct relationships with leading institutional investors and operators across both verticals, including Welltower, Ventas, Kayne Anderson Real Estate, Davidson Kempner, Acadia Healthcare, Summit BHC, and numerous regional operators and private equity platforms. His practice is further differentiated by a proprietary crossover strategy that identifies distressed senior housing assets for repositioning as behavioral health facilities—a deal-creation thesis that single-vertical competitors cannot replicate.
“Partners gives me the platform and the cross-functional capabilities to serve clients at a higher level than any boutique or single-vertical practice can,” said Mr. Yates. “The firm’s collaborative culture, the depth of its full-service platform, and the partnership model itself are genuinely differentiated. I’m excited about what we’re going to build here.”
Joining Mr. Yates in Partners’ Atlanta’ office is Associate broker Ben Carter, also from Colliers’ Healthcare Advisory Group. Mr. Carter specializes in the brokerage of behavioral health, senior housing, and other residential care facilities, partnering with investors and operators to execute acquisition, disposition, and development strategies through investment sales and strategic advisory across a rapidly evolving healthcare real estate landscape.
Partners’ newest service offering represents the latest milestone in the firm’s aggressive growth strategy—and another significant investment in its rapidly expanding Atlanta hub, where the practice will be based. In less than two years, Partners’ Southeast base has grown to more than 60 professionals, 17 of them Equity Partners, with recent highlights including the addition of industry veteran Sherri Wilson as Equity Partner in retail services; the acquisition of Powers Ferry Business Park, the first purchase for Partners Capital’s Opportunity Fund VI; the Seven Oaks merger elevating Partners’ Property Management and Development businesses; the hiring of a key valuation leader; and the addition of an industry-leading retail services team.
Mr. Yates’ arrival reinforces what’s drawing top-tier talent to Partners: a true partnership model, equity ownership for the people doing the work, and a platform built for advisors who want to grow something—not just join something. That alignment is what produces better outcomes for clients, and it’s why Partners continues to attract the industry’s best.
