Carter Perrin - Partner & Managing Director - Partners Real Estate

Carter Perrin is the Managing Director of Partners Development, and a Partner in Partners Real Estate. Carter is responsible for all aspects of commercial real estate development, including deal origination, entitlement, finance, design, construction, leasing, and operations.

Prior to joining Partners, Carter spent 7+ years at Pinpoint Commercial, where he served as Principal. There, he was responsible for all aspects of commercial real estate development, including deal origination, entitlement, finance, design, construction, leasing, and operations of several different asset class types.  Over his 19-year career, project experience runs the gamut from raw land acquisitions and entitlement, land subdivision, Build-to Suits, Industrial, Medical, Residential, and Seniors Housing.

Notable development transactions completed by Carter include:

  • The repositioning of the 587,000-sq.-ft. Almeda Mall; Originating a 150-acre Industrial Development project in Katy, TX.
  • Construction, licensing, opening, and operations of nine assisted living buildings totaling over 700 units and over 620,000 sq. ft. in Texas, Florida and New Mexico.
  • Environmental remediation, redesign and rebuild of a 3,500-seat restaurant and banquet venue (The Oasis, Austin, TX) following a fire, while remaining open for business.
  • The acquisition and planning of a two-block transit-oriented development purchased in cooperation with Houston METRO. Carter has directly negotiated transactions with H-E-B Grocery Company, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Ross Stores, AtHome, Darden Restaurants, Walgreens as well as other national and regional operators.

Carter remains an Executive Board Member of LifeWell Senior Living, a senior housing operating company operating 8 Assisted Living and Memory Care communities in Texas and New Mexico.

Before embarking on his real estate career, Carter was a competitive sailor having been a member of the US Sailing Team prior to the Atlanta Olympics, participating as a crew member in two America’s Cups, winning Admiral’s Cups, and is a two-time World Champion.

In addition to his professional commitments, Carter is also involved in a number of community and civic organizations including current committee membership to the Memorial Herman hospital Community Relations and Quality Committee as well as Commodore of the Texas Corinthian Yacht Club. He is a former Chairman of the Board for Houston Wilderness and former vice-chairman of the Parade Committee for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. In addition, he served as the Former Chairman of the Board for Houston Wilderness and had previously served as the Vice-Commodore of the Texas Corinthian Yacht Club.
