David Hargis is Vice President of In-House Counsel and Risk Management. David provides general legal support for the day-to-day functions of Partners and advising the Development Company on all contractual and real estate related matters. David is also responsible for Partners’ insurance portfolio and other risk components of the firm.

Prior to Partners, David was a Partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP. There, he maintained a diverse practice of corporate, real estate, construction, and financial transactions, including a variety of private placements, executive compensation agreements, loan agreements and securities offerings.

David also has extensive experience in state and federal courts involving disputes related to commercial transactions, real estate, private securities offerings, construction, business divorces, professional liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, and bankruptcy.
